Sapphire Ring Co has being working closely with our gem broker in Sri Lanka only to carry the best natural emerald cut sapphires available set into the best sapphire rings settings. Today many of our natural and fully certified emerald cut Ceylon sapphires have being re-cut by our gem cutter ( Lapidary ) to give each customer a true emerald " cut " sapphire, best in cut and polish.
The emerald cut sapphire is one of the rarest cuts in the sapphire cut to be found, this is mainly due to the waist of the corundum ( Rough ) when choosing this cut, a good gem quality rough in approximate 8 ct's could yield up to 3.00-3.50 ct if a oval cut was chosen - but if you choose to cut the same rough to the emerald cut you would loose at least 80% of the rough leaving a stone less than 2 ct's with the best of cut.
For these reason you will see with our natural emerald cut sapphires and diamond rings we have added a note showing that this sapphire has be re-cut from its original cut giving you the best cut natural emerald sapphire one could have making each emerald cut natural sapphire rings to be some of the finest saphire rings settings you will find.

Please note: Companies selling a choice of sapphire in colors and or exact sizes are almost always chemically enchased and/or heated to extreme heat, please always ask for a independent gemology report for a top laboratory as these sapphires have little to no value. Please see our Pages on Laboratories
Every sapphire we have is a unique stone created by mother nature, which is cut and polished to show off that one stone's color and luster, bringing out the individual character of each gem. Once the sapphire is certified, we hand pick a unique custom ring setting to be made, which is then set by hand for that stone. It takes approximately 3 - 4 months from when a sapphire is hand picked to having the sapphire set and listed for sale at wholesale price. We do keep a wide selection of loose natural sapphires in stock which are not set, so please contact us if you have any questions on any one of our natural sapphire rings or a custom ring setting which you might be considering.
